{"id":819,"date":"2020-03-20T14:32:22","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T14:32:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ventureasy.com\/blog\/?p=819"},"modified":"2020-04-07T11:09:54","modified_gmt":"2020-04-07T11:09:54","slug":"financial-year-2019-20-will-end-on-march-31st","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ventureasy.com\/blog\/financial-year-2019-20-will-end-on-march-31st\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial Year 2019-20 will end on March 31st"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Finance Ministry has clarified that <strong>FY 2019-20 will end on March 31<sup>st<\/sup> 2020 and FY 2020-21 will start on April 1<sup>st<\/sup><\/strong> 2020, thereby putting an end to all the rumors doing the rounds about a possible extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The onset of rumors\nwas due to misquotation of a&nbsp; &nbsp;notification issued by the Department of\nRevenue, Ministry Of Finance dated 30th June 2020 related to certain amendments\nto the Indian Stamp Act. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The amendments\npertained to putting in place an efficient mechanism for collection of Stamp\nDuty on Security Market Instruments transactions through Stock Exchanges or\nClearing Corporation authorized by Stock Exchanges Depositories. This change\nwas earlier notified to be implemented from 1st April, 2020.
